There’s something I’d like to share. I recently learned for the first time how Fanbox’s “support period” actually works \u2014 and honestly, I didn’t know this myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Fanbox support period<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Unlike Ko-fi and Patreon, on Fanbox the support period runs from the day you start supporting until the end of that same month. In other words, even if you start partway through the month, it wraps up at the end of that month. So if you’d like to support via Fanbox, joining at the start of the month is recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you lost access on Discord<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you suddenly lost access on Discord:<\/strong> sorry for the trouble, but please send me a DM on Discord. If you let me know your support start date, I’ll grant your role manually. That said, I can’t always check right away, so thank you in advance for your patience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Fanbox going forward<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To be honest, I was so happy that the Discord integration freed me from the admin work of managing support \u2014 “more time to focus on creating!” \u2014 but it turns out this part still needs to be handled manually, which left me a little deflated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I really want is to cut down on tedious admin work as much as possible and pour everything into building the Insect Utopia world I love. That’s exactly why I started using the Discord integration\u2026 but since it ends up being the same amount of work, it’s become a feature that doesn’t really mean much for Fanbox. As of June 2026, I’m still thinking about what to do with Fanbox going forward \u2014 whether to keep it only as a place for announcements and run support mainly through Ko-fi and Patreon, and so on. I’ll let you know once I’ve decided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sobre el periodo de apoyo de Fanbox<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A diferencia de Ko-fi y Patreon, en Fanbox el periodo de apoyo va desde el d\u00eda en que empiezas a apoyar hasta el final de ese mismo mes. Es decir, aunque empieces a mitad de mes, termina al final de ese mes. Por eso, si deseas apoyar a trav\u00e9s de Fanbox, se recomienda unirse a principios de mes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si pierdes el acceso a Discord<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Si de repente pierdes el acceso en Discord:<\/strong> disculpa las molestias, pero env\u00edame un DM por Discord. Si me indicas tu fecha de inicio de apoyo, te asignar\u00e9 el rol manualmente. Dicho esto, no siempre puedo revisarlo de inmediato, as\u00ed que gracias de antemano por tu paciencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sobre el futuro de Fanbox<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Para ser sincero, estaba muy contento porque la integraci\u00f3n con Discord me liber\u00f3 del trabajo administrativo de gestionar el apoyo \u2014 “\u00a1m\u00e1s tiempo para concentrarme en crear!” \u2014 pero resulta que esta parte a\u00fan hay que hacerla manualmente, lo que me dej\u00f3 un poco desanimado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo que de verdad quiero es reducir al m\u00e1ximo el tedioso trabajo administrativo y volcar todo en construir el mundo de Insect Utopia que tanto amo. Precisamente por eso empec\u00e9 a usar la integraci\u00f3n con Discord\u2026 pero como al final supone el mismo trabajo, se ha convertido en una funci\u00f3n que no tiene mucho sentido para Fanbox. A junio de 2026, sigo pensando qu\u00e9 hacer con Fanbox de aqu\u00ed en adelante \u2014 si conservarlo solo como un lugar para anuncios y gestionar el apoyo principalmente a trav\u00e9s de Ko-fi y Patreon, etc. Os avisar\u00e9 en cuanto lo decida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
